Trvler.Com trips are designed with you and by you. They have a large degree of flexibility built into them to enable you to experience the journey the way that suits you best. We will design the trip based upon your budget and include the items you want included, while leaving the items you want to purchase while traveling.
Flights to and from your starting and ending points are not included in the cost of your trip. These can be added on during the booking process either online or via our contact center or booked independently by you.
Each trip contains the right amount of free time for you to explore or indulge your travel desires. We offer Free Time Add-Ons, which are additional experiences that are not included in the overall price. These addons are highlighted on the specific trip page. Your Trip Manager will highlight these to you and organize their booking on trip. Exceptions may apply where pre booking is required but this will be made known to you in your pre departure information.
A number of meal times are left open for you to explore a region and its foodie offerings in greater detail, so budgeting for your taste in non-catered meals is important.
Travel insurance and visas are also not included in the cost of your trip, and should be booked separately.
International flights to/from the destination your trip starts and ends can be included in the cost of the trip, the choice is yours. You can choose to have Trvler organize and book your flights or book them yourself.

For our European, North American, Australian and New Zealand trips, luggage is restricted to one decent sized, suitcase, approximately 29” × 20” × 10” (73cm x 50cm x 25cm) with a maximum weight of 20 kilos (44lbs.) plus one small hand/day bag that can go on the transport with you. Metal frame backpacks are not advised as their bulky shape makes packing vehicles tricky, plus they are more likely to damage other luggage.
For Latin America, Asia & other regions which have internal flights included in the itinerary, luggage weight restrictions must be within the restriction of the given airlines you’re travelling on. It’s up to you to ensure you keep within these measurements and weight restrictions, so please check this out before you travel as excess baggage fees will be at your own cost.
Some trips have specific luggage requirements, such as Trvler.Com performance tours, hiking and some Trvler.Com camping trips – you will have this information sent to you in your pre-trip documents should this apply.
For our train trips please note you must be able to carry your own bags on this trip. As we will be taking public transport in cities & getting to the heart of the destinations we visit, pack wisely.
We highly recommend that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, evacuation expenses, personal liability & loss of personal property and Covid related expenses before you travel with us. It’s also super important to check that your insurance covers all of the activities you’ll be trying out, particularly any adventure activities (for all you adrenaline junkies).
Trvler.com highly recommends you obtain trip insurance. We offer several insurance plans, or you can choose to buy travel insurance from another provider. If you choose the latter, please be sure you are covered for the complete dates of your trip and please validate that you have the appropriate level of coverage in the currency for your country of origin, in the following categories: Trip interruption; (to cover the cost of your trip, including air); Trip Delay; Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation; Medical Expenses from illness (covering individual or pandemic event etc.)
We highly recommend all travelers are vaccinated and boosted where applicable, but it’s not a requirement of traveling with us.
Travelers will need to comply with specific vaccine and/or booster requirements imposed by airlines and/or authorities in the destination visited, as well as requirements for accessing restaurants and venues. It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply at all times with these requirements. No refunds will be given if you are unable to undertake some or all of your vacation due to failure to comply with these requirements.
All travelers will be required to comply with local travel requirements. You’ll need to wear a mask if and when your Trip Manager advises it’s mandatory to do so, according to local requirements. Our coaches have state of the art air filtration and industry leading cleaning protocols, but you’re welcome to wear a mask while traveling on-board if you choose to.
Please note that airlines and other establishments may not accept washable cloth masks, only medical masks.
We’ll be following local health authority guidelines in every destination we travel so if someone shows symptoms or would like to get tested, the Trip Manager will help facilitate medical care and/or tests. Packing & Airlines: Please contact us with questions regarding packing rules and baggage fees. If you play a smaller instrument such as a violin, you can very often carry it on with you, however we will need to confirm this with your airline prior to travel. We recommend asking your teacher, local instrument shop and/or manufacturer for advise on how to pack your instrument for an international performance tour.
Rentals: If you play a larger instrument, such as a bass or cello, and are interested in an instrument rentals. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
Important Note for Tortuguero: We will be traveling to Tortuguero for two nights. For this portion of the tour we ask you to pack a separate small bag, as we will be traveling by small boat and there is not a lot of room for luggage. Upon returning from Tortuguero you will be reunited with your main suitcase and instrument. In Tortuguero you will need clothes for walking/hiking, swimming in the pool and dinner at night time. Please also bring your rain coat as it does tend to rain there. It is also important to bring your mosquito repellant.
